About Us

President's Message

Hello Secordians, my name is Catlin Chiasson and I am your current president. I first off would like to acknowledge and thank the current board members and the past board members that have brought us to where we are today, with all their volunteered dedication and commitment to the community. We are always looking for volunteers to make these happen so I will put a call out if you're interested.

We are a growing vibrant community and my goals are to be transparent, communicate, update our website for ease of information and to put on more programs and events. I have been part of the Secord Traffic Committee and I am working closely with city officials on some of our concerns, and we are planning on building infrastructure in the near future.

I am opening our monthly meetings to anyone that wishes to attend online or in person.

I have 3 kids in DTK and I am an active volunteer

at the school & it's current Fundraising Association President, I am also on the Secord traffic committee. I enjoy gardening, spending time

with my family and walking our black lab in

our wonderful community.

Alex Quang

Hi, I'm Alex Quang and I am your Secord Community League Treasurer. Professionally,

I am a CPA-CA and work at ATB Wealth as a Senior Manager of Financial and Regulatory Reporting.

I have lived in Secord for about 3 years with my Partner and I am grateful to be part of this wonderful and vibrant community.

On a personal note, I am a proud fur dad of two cats and two dogs and during my free time, I enjoy camping, reading and going for walks with our two dogs.

Kaitlin Serpa

I have been a proud resident of Secord since 2022, and alongside my husband, Logan, have actively contributed to our community as Secretary for the past year. Professionally, I work as a Graphic Designer & Ecommerce Specialist, as well as

serve as Operations Manager for an Indigenous Education non-profit organization.

My husband and I have two wonderful children who attend David Thomas King School. We enjoy spending time together at the DTK playground or walking our two dogs.

Communications/Programs

Logan Arcilla

I have lived in Secord since 2022 with my wife, Kaitlin, and our two wonderful children. Our family has enjoyed becoming a part of this community. Professionally, I am the Co-Founder and Programs Manager for an Indigenous Education non-profit organization. In addition to my primary occupation, I am the First Senior Mentor (FSM) for FIRST Robotics, and a co-founder of the Alberta Robotics Association. My passion for robotics and STEM education has driven me to mentor and inspire young minds. My work is deeply fulfilling, as it allows me to help bridge educational gaps and create opportunities for future generations. I look forward to connecting with fellow residents and working together to make Secord an even better place to live.
